Getting Started with Therapy at Care and Counseling Services, LLC
Book a Free 20-Minute Consultation Call
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, so I offer a free 20-minute video or phone call to help us get to know each other. This is your chance to share what’s been going on for you, what you’d like to work on, and to ask any questions about how therapy works. We’ll also talk about fees, policies, and see if we’re a good fit to work together.
Scheduling Your First Appointment
If it feels right to move forward after our consultation, we’ll schedule your first full therapy session (also called an intake). Before this appointment, I’ll send you some paperwork to fill out online. It covers things like your rights as a client, confidentiality and HIPAA, billing info, consent for treatment, and some questions to help me learn more about you and your history.
Your First Session
During your intake appointment, we’ll go over your paperwork, talk more in-depth about your goals for therapy, and answer any questions you might have about the process. Together, we’ll also decide how often we should meet—weekly, every other week, or whatever feels best for you.
Moving Forward
As we continue working together, we’ll check in on your progress and adjust things as needed. Once you’re feeling like you’ve met some of your goals, we can talk about spacing out sessions or wrapping up, depending on what feels supportive for you.
Where I See Clients
I offer in-person therapy at my cozy office in Lawrenceville, Georgia near Sugarloaf Mills Mall, and virtual sessions for anyone living in Georgia.
